Berwick A started their season in Division 3 with a win over The Unusual Suspects by 17400-16200. They lost narrowly, 10340-11040, to Colinton Castle but rebounded with a good win, 12430-10360, against local rivals Dunbar.
They next play on 30 November against table-topping Randolph.
The Berwick Bears started their season in Division 4 with a match against newly promoted Invulnerables. Unfortunately they lost narrowly, by 16530-17400. As often happens in matches, it looked like tables 1 and 4 were playing different boards to tables 2 and 3!
In their second match the Bears lost 12460-14030 to Carlton Camden. They next play on Wednesday 11 January against Melbas.
