Pearson Pot - more nail biting!

Friday, 11 May 2018 by John Smithson

This year's Robin Pearson Pot saw an exceptionally close scramble for prizewinning positions.  Right up till the last session, four pairs were neck-and-neck, with Sheila Pearson & Kate Mole securing the top spot by returning the best North/South score that night.  Colin Edney & Perry Vassie won the East/West section and took second place overall, beating Brian Thomas & Terry Harris by virtue of a superior fifth score; and in fourth place Nigel Marlow & John Smithson's fifth score put them ahead of Trish Frew & Jane Smithson and James Tweddle & Tony Reed-Jones.

Congratulations to all the prizewinners, and thanks to all the 21 qualifying pairs for a tremendously exciting competition.
