Paul was not distracted by last month's double cataract operation as he won the SBU's premier weekend tournament, the Winter Foursomes, yesterday.

Paul was playing with his brother Alex with Brian Short and SBU Chairman Alan Goodman. The event is a double elimindation format, but the team went through the entire weekend without losing a match.

They won the 32-board final by 36 IMP beating Miro Dragic, Robert Ferrari, Douglas Piper and Alex Wilkinson.

Alex and Paul have now played in the last five face-to-face finals winning four of them. Brian Short now leads the all-time winners list with 10 victories (two with Alex & Paul and two against them).
