Congratulations to Paul Gipson who, playing with his brother Alex, Mike Ash, and Chris Chambers, retained the prestigious Scottish BBL Cup at the Winter Foursomes this weekend.

Following on from last year's win, they did even better this year going through the event undefeated. In the final they beat Iain Sime, Douglas Piper, Les Steel, and John Murdoch by 14 IMP.

Paul said he is almost as pleased by the performance of the junior team he coaches who won the Peploe Cup for the SBU Winter Swiss Teams today. They beat the #2 seeds in the Winter Foursomes on Friday evening and are becoming a real force in Scottish bridge.
