This year's Christmas party started with a "Who am I?" icebreaker as we all arrived, followed by an excellent meal prepared by club members.

Jean, our President, had prepared a quiz to be completed during the main course and this was won by Rita, Joan, and Paul with 10/20, narrowly beating many teams by one point.

Once the desserts had been demolished, we played ten boards prepared by Paul. His advice was to play strong twos and an opening 1NT of 13-19 points, and everyone soon understood why when they saw the goulash hands.
