The 40th Berwick Congress ran relatively smoothly on Sunday, 23 April. The government tested everyone's patience with its mobile phone alarm in the middle of the pairs, but the players were used to the seven-minute warnings by that point.
The pairs was comfortably won by Liz Barr and Gill Colston.
The best Berwick pair were Penny Davidson and Brian Thomas, who won the Nessie Dickinson trophy.
The teams was won, less comfortably, by Pam and Archie Leith, John Hamilton and Willie Clemie.
Chris Orchard, Tony Reed-Jones, Louis Moore and Marilyn Hodgson won the prize for the best Bronze team.
Everyone seemed to enjoy it and we hope to see everyone back next year.
