Congratulations to Colin Edney who has been promoted to National Master this week. He becomes the only National Master regularly playing at the club.
A National Master requires 300 master points, of which 75 must be National (red) points. On a typical club night the winner gets approximately 0.5 master points.
The next target for Colin is Life Master. This requires 600 master points, of which 150 must be National (red) points: this is double the National Master requirements!
Colin probably has plenty of local (black) points, if he hasn't thrown too many away over the years, but the red point requirement will be challenging.
