Nigel Marlow and David King were the best placed Berwick pair as they finished sixth with 58.26% at the Carlton Bridge Club in Edinburgh.
Defending champions Nicola Corbyn and Tony Houghton scored 51.85% but were out of the master points, as were Christine and Ian McCreath.
